On 30. 06. 2026, the management of BYD and the Industrial Union of Hungary held their first personal meeting. After mutual introductions and an impressive presentation by the company, the parties reviewed the possible forms of the relationship system and the framework along which they envision cooperation.

From the perspective of the MGSZ, we experienced openness from the company’s managers during the more than two-hour meeting, which is why we consider the meeting fruitful. During the meeting, in addition to discussing general principles, the parties also touched on specific topics, but they agreed that the details of these would not be disclosed to the public for the time being.

Finally, the parties mutually confirmed that they are committed to working together in the interests of the employees, the company and the city of Szeged.
